Working with local park districts and municipalities, and financially backed by event sponsors, City Park Events organizes, promotes, and produces movie-in-the-park type events with a clear advantage: clarity.

You see, most movie-in-the-park or drive-in movie events make use of large inflatable screens and projectors.  Unfortuantely, during the summer, it’s too bright outside to see the screen until 10:00 PM.  If you ever wonder why public fireworks shows don’t start until 10:00 PM, it’s for the same reason.  This means if you’re going to run a double feature, it’s 1:00 AM or later before you’re done and that will require variance applications and all kinds of issues.

City Park Events is different.  Using large video walls that are very bright, our events can start during the middle of the day.  Tyically a 3PM, 5:30 PM, and 7:30 movie times.  That means everyone is leaving the park by 10:00 PM and everyone’s happy, especially the neighbors.
