TriVenture

With the sales of TSI and HCTI in the rearview mirror, the core team at Southam set out to find out what’s next.  The timing could not have been better as Microsoft released version 1.0 of their CRM product in late 2003.  With our background in early CRM back in the ’90s, it was a logical step to partner with Microsoft to help companies deploy Microsoft CRM.  This was a rough start to a business primarily because Microsoft’s software was full of bugs, it was overpriced, took too long to implement, and IT support was heavily burdened with end-user support.  In a nutshell, the software sucked, and we were the guys trying to sell it.  We bought into Microsoft’s vision and within the year we doubled down, sticking with them as they shored up the codebase and got their act together.  The company was called TriVenture — three of the longtime owners came together in a new venture, TriVenture.
